How to find out my ring size
When we buy rings online it is easy to give up because we are not sure of the size we should take and it is a pity because, many times, those rings are not available to try them on in the store and you are left with the desire. We suggest several ways to find out your ring size.
Option 1. Visit a jewelry store.
This would be the safest option. Professionals always want to help their clients. If you have reservations about going to your neighborhood jewelry store because you have no intention of buying the ring there, you can go to a department store and ask about the rings they have on display.
Option 2. Measure the inside of a ring that is the desired size
The best thing would be to measure it with a caliper like the one in the photo. Remember that the inside has to be measured, regardless of the outer ring. The ring in the example measures 16.9 mm.
If you don't have a caliper, you can directly measure the ring on a ruler. Keep in mind that you should not, in any case, measure the ring, the measurement is of the inner hole of the ring.
Once you know what the interior measures, you just have to go to the table below and find out what size it corresponds to. If it is between two sizes, take the larger one.
Option 3. Buy a ring sizer
You will think that the joke is going to be expensive, but it is worth it, especially if you like to buy online. In amazon there are very reliable references for about € 12 (for example amazon ring) that arrive from one day to the next and you can use it whenever you need it, for yourself or to make a gift ...
Ring gauges are made up of a weight (conical stick) and a set of rings of each size.
The ballasts can give us several measures. In the image below we see the indication of the US size.
In the image below we see the indication of the diameter in mm.
In the image below we see the indication of the European size.
To perform the measurement, follow these steps:
- Choose a ring that suits you (either from the ring set or one you already have).
- Place the ring on the weight and lower it as far as you can without forcing it.
- See what the European size is (as in the example below). The indication of the US size or the diameter in mm is also valid, you just have to go to the table below to see which European size it corresponds to.
